Chopta Tungnath Chandrashilla - Gateway to the Photographer's heaven.!

WOW ! I would like to make my house here!   That was the first thing I whispered having reached the summit.  I sat there on the edge of the cliff in peace, mesmerized by the beauty. For couple of minutes I froze myself to stare at the unending layers of blue hills. I was High, High by 4000M. I looked as as far as i could with my eyes wide open and tried to grasp as much of the landscape as i could without blinking.  Its 2 year since then, still feels like yesterday. In these 2 years I have visited this place thrice, witnessing a different picture each time.  I have seen this place transforming from a snow beauty to green Meadow. I have seen a clear blue sky showering snow and ice balls and Milky Way dancing over mountains, after moon set.  The moon set as seen from the peak of the chandrashilla truly signifies its name. Out of all, standing at an elevation of 3600 m on a cliff and experiencing the drift of wind mixed with snowflake...

Bidholi : Village or Planet ?

The sound of the raindrops suddenly became louder when I came into my consciousness. Sitting at my balcony and listening to Coldplay while witnessing the layers of Blue hills, and the descending clouds leaving behind the white blanket in the sky was living a dream. I would sit on the railing waiting for the sun to come down and meet the Horizon with golden hue all over the sky. It was gods Painting and Bidholi happened to its Canvas.!! This is planet Bidholi. Nested on the foothills of Lower Shivalik range in Dehradun-Mussorrie Valley, this place never disappointed me. Situated at the altitude of about 950 meters above sea level, this place offers you an uninterrupted view of shivalik range towards south east. The layers of Blue hills beyond the horizon and absolutely gorgeous view of valley delight your eyes.
